
ELENA (MEDINA) BANTUGAN

Elena was born on March 1, 1961 in Imus, Cavite. After graduating from high
school, she attended the Imus Institute College Department earning both
Secretarial and AB Economics degrees. Additionally, she passed the Philippine
Airline Basic Air Cargo Course.
From 1987-1990, Elena worked as Coordinator - National Trucking and
Forwarding Corporation in Makati, Philippines. She was the secretary to the
Export Manager. She was instrumental in managing the Operations Department
focusing on all imports and exports by both Sea and Air.
In 1990, Elena left the Philippines and migrated to the United States to join her
husband who was in the United States Navy. She immediately started working at
Koch Membrane System in San Diego, California from 1990-2002. She really
enjoyed that job but had to resign due to her husband transferred to another
duty station in Palmdale, California.
While in Palmdate, Elena was able to go back to school and pursue Medical
Administration and Computerized Office. She also worked as a Sales
Associates at WalMart from 2002-2004.
In July 2004, Elena and her family decided to go back to the Philippines to enjoy
retirement life at a young age. Her husband Albert B. Bantugan retired from the
United States Navy in June 2004. They have one child, Elaine Marie or Em-Em
born in l990 at Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego, California and currently a
Junior in high school.
Elena resides at Pag-Asa Subdivision Bucandala 4, Imus, Cavite. Once in a
while when her daughter is on her school break, they take a vacation back to
United States to visit relatives and friends.
Elena enjoys being a housewife and just taking care of her family.
